How to check...

Hey cti,
What sort of crash did you get? There's an issue I've seen where sometimes the first time you open the Shared Contacts page it hangs. But I've only seen that occasionally.
I assure you that the names and wiring is all present. You can validate this yourself by opening up the composite app database itself (sl_d_ca.nsf) in designer, looking under Composite Applications -> Applications. There should be a file there that contains the definition of the layout and wires. If that file isn't there, then you've got a corrupt version of the sample. If the file is there, then there is something wrong with your client.
Another approach would be to create a blank composite application and open it for editing. Add any of the component views provided with the lead manager to your palette as described in the documentation. You should be able to see the properties and actions as described in the documentation.
